蝉の声、夕方の光、暑さ、
匂い、誰かといた時間。
雲も？

その夏そのものは戻ってこない。
でも断片だけが残っていて、
何かをきっかけに突然よみがえる。

つまり、
消えたから、残る。

という少し矛盾した関係
記憶は時間の残響か。

一旦涼しくなってますが
まだ夏の中にいると思いたい。

大阪を拠点に活動するプロデューサーNICKELMANによる最新作
『Mangoes II』。カナダの老舗レーベルURBNETより、2021年作
『Mangoes』の続編がヴァイナルとカセットでリリース。

ソウルフルなスウィート・グルーヴを軸に、トロピカルかつ
エキゾチカな領域へと展開。とろけるようなループの重なりと
ヒップホップビートが絡み合い、心地よく揺れるメロウな質感に、
サイケデリックな揺らぎを帯びたニュアンスが重なり、
全体をやさしく包み込む。

ダビーなイントロから幕を開け、
果汁が滴るような瑞々しいビートを軸に、
ダンストラックから哀愁を帯びたメロウなソウルまで、
映画のサウンドトラックのように滑らかに展開していく。

自身のアートワーク名義〈55555〉によるコラージュとサウンドが
共鳴し合い、より深く洗練された独自の感覚世界を描き出す。

前作をさらに発展させた、スウィートなムードをまとった仕上がり。猛暑を離れ、ゆったりと流れる時間の中で味わいたい、フルーティーなビート・インストゥルメンタル・アルバム。

*Mangoes II* is the latest release from Osaka-based producer NICKELMAN. It serves as the sequel to his 2021 album *Mangoes* and is being released on vinyl and cassette via the long-standing Canadian label URBNET.

Centered on soulful, sweet grooves, the sound expands into tropical and exotica-tinged territories. Layers of melting loops intertwine with hip-hop beats, creating a mellow, swaying texture infused with psychedelic nuances that gently envelop the entire soundscape.

Opening with a dubby intro, the album unfolds—much like a film soundtrack—through a seamless progression of tracks ranging from dance-oriented cuts to melancholic, mellow soul, all anchored by lush, juicy beats.

Collage art created under his visual moniker "55555" resonates with the music, painting a unique, sophisticated, and deeply immersive sensory world.

Building upon the foundation of the previous album, this release is steeped in a sweet, inviting atmosphere. It is a fruity instrumental beat album perfect for escaping the sweltering heat and savoring a moment of unhurried, flowing time.
